Painting on Xuan paper, mixed media, 105 x 68 cm, 2011
I fear this racer’s fate is cruel—
A mustang, spirit! Not a mule.
To drag a carriage? Not his call.
Who dared to desecrate his soul?
A fatal wound right to the heart—
Who crucified him to the cart?
The mustang burst, his body swayed,
His bridle pierced him like a blade.
