    KING LEAR. RETRIBUTION

    He’s deafened by his grief.

    The poor old father, —

His suffering has caused him to go mad.

And life, in just a moment,

    Changed her colors,

And spilled into a dreadful sea of lead.

    His daughter’s gilded souls

    That craved affection,

Instead were filled with sorrow and ill will.

    A king without escorts.

    In dejection,

His flesh had died, his spirit had gone still.
